My favorite resources for Pinterest in my stationery business
Today I wanted to dish out all of my favorite resources and tools that I use to help Pinterest work for me in my stationery business.
If you’re not using Pinterest as a marketing tool in your stationery business, you’re missing the train! It is an amazing tool for businesses, but especially for stationers since we can work with clients around the world. I know it can be a bit overwhelming at first, but I promise if you put forth a little bit of effort to get into the groove of using Pinterest on a regular basis (for something other then recipes and DIY) you will start to truly see the benefits in your stationery business.
So here are a few things that help make learning and using Pinterest just a little bit easier.
These are just some of the amazing tools that I use or have invested in to learn Pinterest and let me tell you, worth.every.penny. I mean, Pinterest is a FREE marketing tool. I am totally ok with a little investment to make sure that I am learning and using it correctly!
Some tips to keep in mind about creating a pin that converts:
Pins need to utilize colors, fonts and imagery that represents your brand so when someone sees it they connect it with your brand
Pin sizes need to maintain a 2:3 ratio, ideally 600px x 900px
Fonts need to be large and readable for quick and easy scanning
*BONUS* Make sure that wherever your pin is leading them has a CTA (call to action) don’t send them to a dead-end page. It could be something as simple as an “inquire now” or “join my list” or “follow me on Instagram”
Creating templates for quick and easy use
I recommend 3-4 styles of templates that you rotate (don’t reinvent the wheel!)
Programs to use: Adobe Suite (Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop) or Canva (free and already has Pinterest sample templates you can use!)
Items to be sure to include: title with keywords + website/business name (logo or submark if room)
